Alema Marshall

Alema is 20 years old and lives in a little place no one's ever heard of just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. After a while spent studying Stage Management at University in Edinburgh, she fell ill and had to return to live with her parents, brother, sister and menagerie of pets. After visits to various doctors and numerous tests (at one stage my arms were predominantly black and blue) it was discovered she suffered from CFIDS, and has spent the last two years recovering. However, she is thankful for the interruption, as it gave her a chance to remember her first love: Science. She is working for a temping firm at the moment, and will return to college in September to study A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics before going on to University to study Medicine.

It was also during this illness that she discovered Star Trek, starting with Deep Space Nine. (I sat down to watch that silly show my brother insisted on watching; by the end of the episode I was hooked). Slowly coming around to the other 3 shows, she now is an avid viewer of anything Trek, and has even managed, on occasion, to correct her brother on points of trivia (Yay!). However, Deep Space Nine will always be her favourite.
