Lt. Commander Endar Alden - Human Male 
Executive Officer, Deep Space Nine, Bajoran Sector 

Alden's past is largely unknown. He enlisted with the Starfleet Marines during the Klingon War and participated in much of the hand-to-hand combat. His bravery at the Battle of Lankal II earned him the Kragite Order of Heroism and the Grankite Order of Tactics. When his commanding officer was shot down, he took over and led his team to victory at the Battle of Ajilon IV, winning him the Starfleet Medal of Honor and a field commission with the rank of full lieutenant. 

When the sides changed and the Klingon War became the war against Dominion, Alden transferred to the USS Armistead as a security officer. However Alden found the life on a starship quite unnerving and too cushy. He had trouble controlling his anger, and one day lost control while interrogating a prison of war. He was charged with assault and demoted to junior grade lieutenant. Alden spent the next year hopping from one ship to the next, in the hopes of getting a transfer to Deep Space Nine, where all the action was going on. Eventually, through hard work and -- as he would put it -- "sucking up," he got his wish. However the war had ended and Alden was now first officer on a quiet little deep space station. 

In terms of Endar's likes, he enjoys mid-late 20th century Earth culture, in particular music. Alden plays 4 instruments -- the piano, guitar, trumpet, and violin -- and sings. He also dances, although he is currently between dance partners...
