Leeta – Bajoran female
Former dabo girl, now wife of Rom, Ferengi Grand Nagus in exile

Leeta’s background is unknown until she came to the station and began to work for Quark as a “dabo girl” - a gaming hostess. She was not shy about introducing herself to Dr. Bashir, who welcomed her attentions; their romantic relationship lasted a year and a half. As that relationship ended, she admitted her attraction to Rom, the brother of her employer. Although it took him some time to admit his feelings for her, Leeta and Rom married on the eve of the Dominion occupation of the station.

Leeta had already become a fast friend of Jadzia’s, even participating in her zhian’tara ritual. During the occupation of the station, she also became a close friend of Kira’s, as she and Rom covertly worked with Kira and Jake against the Dominion.

Leeta left Bajor with her husband when he became Grand Nagus of Fereginar, and barely escaped the coup that toppled his regime. Because of her, Bajor allowed Rom to set up a government in exile on the station. She is a valuable asset to that government, with her numerous connections from her dabo days, her outgoing personality and charm, her interest in sociology, and her knowledge of alien cultures.
