Vic Fontaine - Appears human Male Holographic
Lounge Singer, Deep Space Nine, Bajoran Sector

Ask Vic Fontaine to describe himself and he'll tell you he's "... a light bulb, pallie."

Originally created for Dr Julian Bashir by his friend Felix, Vic, the hologram of a 1960's Las Vegas lounge singer, has quickly attained the position of Station Agony Uncle since his "arrival" just over a year ago. Vic's charm as "The hologram who knows he's a hologram" has earned him a special place in DS9 history, as well as in the hearts of the crew, so much so that the crew, in the midst of the Dominion War, joined together to get rid of villain Frankie Eyes when he took over the casino.

His many accomplishments include bringing Kira Nerys to love-struck Odo, helping Nog to recuperate after losing his leg, consoling Julian and Quark when they lost Jadzia to Worf, and later Worf when he lost Jadzia to mortality. His music has comforted each and every crew member at one time or another; even Quark has been spotted a few times in the lounge, despite his protests of the threat Vic's poses to his profits.

Vic's has now become a permanent feature on the station after Nog persuaded his uncle Quark to keep the holosuite running continuously.
